Zirconium Veneers
They are aesthetic coatings prepared by scraping with the Cad-cam system from zirconium blocks by computer aided milling process. Zirconium porcelains, which are used as an alternative to metal-supported porcelains that are routinely applied, are more aesthetic than metal-based porcelains since they have light transmittance.
Since metal porcelains have less gingival compatibility and provide less aesthetics due to the gray-black edge of the gingiva, zirconium porcelains are preferred more SIM.
The zirconium substructure is preferred because it imitates the tooth tissue more naturally due to its compatibility with the gingiva, non-allergy and light transmittance.
Zirconium infrastructures reduce the retention of food residues and bacteria on the tooth surface.
They provide a better oral hygiene. They do not transmit cold and heat, therefore they do not cause tooth sensitivity.
